April
18, 2006
Darnell
Dinkins formerly of the Baltimore Ravens is still dedicated to the Baltimore
community where he still focuses his philanthropic efforts. Darnell, through
his Maleness to Manhood Foundation, has personally designed a Darnell
Dinkins Community Action Poster. This motivational poster stresses the
importance of education to children in middle schools and will be distributed
throughout the Baltimore Area.

communities.
The unveiling of the poster will take place on April 19, 2006 on the Big
Phat Morning Show 92.3 (92Q). In addition, he is taking time out of his
busy football schedule to fly in and kick off the distribution of these
posters with an inspirational speech to Old Court, Dunbar, Lakeland, and
Thurgoode Marshall middle schools. |

Darnell
was born in Baltimore and raised in the inner city of Pittsburgh. Darnell
states, “I will never forget where I have come from. It is my personal
mission to help kids who are growing up in a similar environment, where
there is very little daily evidence of hope. Youth of today should know
that there is hope and a bright future ahead through faith, hard work,
perseverance and education”.
This
project is supported by The National Alliance of African Athletes, Pro
Image Store, Cenveo Printing Company, Sams Club of Owings Mills, Early
Morning Software, Next Car Rental, and Congressman Elijah Cummings.
